I believe the answer is: Reinforcement and extinction

Reinforcement refers to the stimulus that is used to make an individual display a certain behavior (could be either reward or punishment)
Extinction in this context refers to a situation when an already conditioned behavior is gone after the behavior no longer receive the reinforcement for a long period of time.
